Year-ROund EVENTS

Lazy Book Club

Welcome to Lazy Book Club! Here’s the deal: Read a book. Whatever book you want and write out your thoughts on the book (see our helpful questionnaire below for inspiration!) Put those thoughts in an envelope in the back of your book. Yes, we are analog and we love it. Put your book on our bookshelf in the tasting room for someone else to read.  Pick another book off the shelf and read! At the end, someone else's thoughts are in an envelope for you to read. Contact people to share your ideas or don't and be as Lazy as you want. Please put your name in the book, if you own it,  in case you want it returned, but just know you may have to part with your book for a long period of time, so only put books on the shelf that you’re ok leaving with others. A sign in sheet will be available for you to sign out books so we do not lose track of the books. Rushing Duck has the right to remove any books at any time for any reason.

  1. Your name and email ( if you want). Are you ok being contacted by other readers to discuss the book via your email (y/n). It’s alright to say no!

  2. What was your favorite part of the book?

  3. What was your least favorite?

  4. Did you race to the end, or was it more of a slow burn?

  5. Which scene has stuck with you the most?

  6. What did you think of the writing? Did you reread any passages? If so, which ones?

  7. Would you want to read another book by this author?

  8. Did reading the book impact your mood? If yes, how so?

  9. What surprised you most about the book?

  10. How did your opinion of the book change as you read it?

  11. If you could ask the author anything, what would it be?

  12. How does the book's title work in relation to the book's contents? If you could give the book a new title, what would it be?

  13. How did it impact you? Do you think you'll remember it in a few months or years?

  14. Are there lingering questions from the book you're still thinking about?
